  • Operations span five countries and over 120 global partners
  • Restructuring plan targets $7.8 million in annualized cost savings

Vislink Technologies has undertaken a broad transformation across its business in 2024, emphasizing higher-margin markets and operational efficiency. The company’s activities span multiple regions and product innovations, reflecting a shift in strategic direction.

During the year, Vislink maintained a global presence with operations in the United States, United Kingdom, Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, and Singapore. The company has established relationships with more than 120 partners and has sold over 200,000 systems in more than 80 countries.

Vislink’s focus in 2024 included expanding its MilGov (military and government) segment and increasing recurring revenue from software and services. Research and development efforts centered on areas such as Drone Command and Control, AI-enhanced video processing, and the LinkMatrix management platform.

The company completed the acquisition of Broadcast Microwave Services assets in September 2023, which strengthened its offerings in Airborne Video Downlink Systems and Drone Command and Control markets. In Q2 2024, Vislink secured NATO Stock Numbers for its AVDS portfolio, gained approved supplier status with three new original equipment manufacturers, and developed a weighted sales pipeline valued at $51 million.

  • Q4 2024 revenue declined to $3.4 million with a net loss of $14.3 million

  • Newer products projected to account for nearly 70% of 2024 revenue

Financial results in 2024 showed periods of growth and challenge. In the second quarter, Vislink reported a 73% year-over-year revenue increase to $8.7 million and improved its gross margin to 56%. For the first nine months, revenue reached $24.4 million, representing a 26% increase from the previous year, although Q3 revenue dipped slightly to $7.1 million.

In the final quarter of 2024, Vislink’s revenue decreased to $3.4 million. The company reported an operating loss of $14.1 million and a net loss of $14.3 million for the period. Despite the decline, MilGov bookings grew by more than 70% in Q4, including several multi-million-dollar orders.

Vislink initiated a restructuring plan in late 2024, consolidating manufacturing operations and implementing workforce reductions. The restructuring incurred inventory impairments of $6.8 million but is projected to result in approximately $7.8 million in annualized cost savings starting in the fourth quarter.

Product innovation remained a focus, with Vislink receiving an innovation award for its work on an autonomous racing project at the Broadcast Tech Innovation Awards 2024. The company projects that its newer, higher-margin products, such as Cliq, LiveLink, and Dragonfly V, will make up nearly 70% of total revenue in 2024 and could approach full revenue contribution by 2026.
