ChatGPT Health enables users to upload their medical records and connect data from several wellness applications, including Apple Health, MyFitnessPal, Function, Weight Watchers, AllTrails, Instacart, and Peloton. According to OpenAI, the platform supports integration with b.well’s network, which provides access to medical records from approximately 2.2 million healthcare providers in the United States.
OpenAI stated that the new health feature was created with input from over 260 physicians based in 60 countries. These medical professionals contributed more than 600,000 feedback evaluations across 30 areas of focus during the development process.
At launch, ChatGPT Health is available to a limited group of users on ChatGPT Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans, excluding those in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. OpenAI announced that broader access via web and iOS platforms is planned for the coming weeks.

OpenAI reported that more than 230 million users worldwide submit health and wellness queries to ChatGPT each week. The company stated that health-related conversations within ChatGPT Health are kept separate from other chats, are encrypted, and are not used to train OpenAI’s foundation models.
OpenAI emphasized that ChatGPT Health is not designed to diagnose or treat medical conditions. Instead, the company described the feature as a tool to support, rather than replace, traditional medical care.
The integration of wellness applications and medical record access is intended to give users a more comprehensive view of their health data. OpenAI highlighted that these capabilities are part of an ongoing effort to enhance the utility of ChatGPT for health-related topics.
OpenAI stated that access to the new health feature is currently restricted to select users and regions. The company indicated that further expansion is anticipated, with additional access options expected soon.
