CES 2026 Showcases Wireless TVs, Autonomous Car Tech, and AI Gadgets

At a glance

  • LG presented the OLED evo W6 “Wallpaper” TV with a 9 mm-class thin panel
  • Autoliv introduced a foldable steering wheel for Level 4 autonomous vehicles
  • Dreame and SwitchBot revealed new robotics and AI-powered devices

CES 2026 featured a range of new consumer electronics and automotive technologies, with several products highlighted for their design and functionality. Multiple companies presented innovations in display, robotics, and vehicle automation during the event.

LG Electronics introduced the OLED evo W6 “Wallpaper” TV, which features a thin panel designed to mount directly against the wall. The TV uses a separate Zero Connect Box to transmit 4K video and audio wirelessly over distances up to 10 meters, allowing for a cable-free installation in living spaces.

The OLED evo W6 incorporates Hyper Radiant Color Technology and Brightness Booster Ultra, which together provide brightness levels up to 3.9 times higher than standard OLED displays. The model received Intertek’s Reflection Free Premium certification, indicating reduced screen reflectance for improved viewing in various lighting conditions.

The TV is equipped with the Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3, which, according to LG, includes a neural processing unit that is about 5.6 times more powerful than its predecessor. This processor runs a Dual AI Engine that is designed to reduce image noise while maintaining texture quality.

What the numbers show

  • The OLED evo W6 delivers up to 3.9 times the brightness of conventional OLEDs
  • The Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3 is approximately 5.6 times more powerful than the previous version
  • The Zero Connect Box transmits 4K video and audio wirelessly up to 10 meters
  • LG Gallery+ offers over 4,500 visuals for ambient display

LG also made the Gallery+ feature available on the W6 and other 2026 OLED models, enabling users to display more than 4,500 visuals, including artwork, cinematic images, personal photos, and AI-generated content for ambient use. This addition expands the TV’s role beyond traditional viewing.

Autoliv presented a foldable steering wheel concept intended for Level 4 autonomous vehicles. The steering wheel retracts into the dashboard when the vehicle is in self-driving mode, and adaptive airbags shift protection from the steering wheel to the instrument panel, according to the company’s announcement at CES 2026.

Autoliv stated that this foldable steering wheel is planned for introduction in Tensor’s upcoming fully autonomous electric vehicle, which is scheduled for launch in late 2026 across the United States, European Union, and Middle East. The concept is aimed at vehicles capable of operating without human intervention under certain conditions.

Dreame showcased the Cyber X concept robot vacuum, which features a four-legged design that enables it to climb stairs independently. SwitchBot launched the MindClip wearable device, which records, transcribes, and summarizes conversations in over 100 languages, and allows users to search through previous recordings. LG also introduced the CLOiD home robot concept, which can fold laundry, assist in kitchen tasks, and interact with ThinQ-connected appliances using voice and sensors.
